چکیده

Geopolymers can replace cement and help reduce the environmental impact of concrete construction, but research is needed to ensure their mechanical properties, durability practicability. The aim this investigation examine influence ground granulated blast furnace slag (slag) content on performance, at fresh hardened states, fly ash (FA) based self-compacted geopolymer (SCGC). For purpose, four SCGC mixtures containing 450 kg/m3 total binder were examined. alkaline-to-binder ratio was 0.5 for all mixes. FA substituted with 0%, 30%, 50%, 100% content. properties in terms flowability, passing ability, viscosity, segregation resistance, as well compressive strength splitting tensile strength, quantified. behavior also studied determine sorptivity long-term free drying shrinkage. results confirm that adversely affects workability except resistance sieve segregation. Performance states general enhanced inclusion increased shrinkage strain. Predictions made using ACI 318, 363, Eurocode CEB-FIB, Lee models. 363 CEB-FIB models found be inaccurate, 30% mix. Predicted values obtained from model very close actual FA-based work could lead more sustainable concretes geopolymers instead OPC.

Fly Ash-based Geopolymer Lightweight Concrete Using Foaming Agent

In this paper, we report the results of our investigation on the possibility of producing foam concrete by using a geopolymer system. Class C fly ash was mixed with an alkaline activator solution (a mixture of sodium silicate and NaOH), and foam was added to the geopolymeric mixture to produce lightweight concrete. The NaOH solution was prepared by dilute NaOH pellets with distilled water. The ...

Durability Performance of Self Compacting Concrete Incorporating Alccofine and Fly Ash

The cost associated with the application of large volume of cement and synthetic admixtures was one of the major drawbacks of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC), which can be reduced by the use of supplementary cementitious materials (SCM). When the demand of cement reduces, the release of carbon dioxide (CO2) from cement industries will come down, which has a positive impact on global w...
